Dear Sales Gallery Artists;

WOW! February already! This month, Laura Faeo will be painting the old sink in the gallery with a funky rainbow and cloud scene. She mentioned painting some birds flying in the sink also. I can hardly wait until she finishes. She volunteered to do this during our remodel.

If you would like to express yourself, we have a bathroom door that also needs some funking up! We also would like to mod-podge up our bathroom with postcards from past shows here and elsewhere, so save those postcards and donate them to help with that project.

If you would like to get some volunteer hours, or just to be involved with the mod-podge project, just let us know. It should be fun!

My phone number was listed wrong in some of last month’s letters. The correct phone number is 907-283-5028, and I really would like to hear from you.

For those new sales gallery artists, the Kenai Fine Arts Center puts on an Arts and Crafts fair at the high school here the day after Thanksgiving, every year. If you would like to get a booth and sell your hand made art at this event, just contact Gloria Humble at 394-1413, and she will give you the details.

We also need folks who would like to be a part of the Kenai Fine Arts Board of Directors. If you would like to have a say in what happens at the arts center, consider joining us at our monthly meetings. We would welcome your input.

We have a juried show in the main gallery coming up in March. The juror is Sheila Wyne, mixed-media artist from Anchorage. The entry fee is Members $15 and Non-members $25. Entries are due no later than March 2nd. Do you have something ready for this show?

Also, please have work on your overflow shelves in the back so that when your work does show, we can replace it in the gallery. We just got in a couple of new display cases, as well as a greeting card rack, and have a lot more room to display hand-made art.
